If I Were A Boy:Adam Torres Story

This is Adam Torres..a FTM Transgender character on Degrassi this season.He was born as Gracie Torres..but he has known since he was 5 that he was meant to be a guy.He gets bullied and harassed at school.And when His grandma comes to town,his mom forces him to turn back into Gracie and not reveal who he really is.His mom sees him as a girl and won't let that go.Gracie comes out after harassment has occurred and realizes again how unhappy being Gracie makes him.He burns himself and Clare catches him in the act.It was a really touching scene.The actress played it so well(as you can tell from the emotion on her face in the picture).She only harms herself when she is Gracie.Her arm speaks of hurt.I have never met a Transgendered person..but If this is the hurt they go through..I truly am sorry.:'(
